Valentine Treat Ideas!

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away and it’s time to start preparing those special gifts! I just recently got a Silhouette Cameo over the holidays and it’s been calling my name.  So, I figured I’d create something festive for V-day. Both children and adults can use these freebies! Whether it’s for a friend, classmate, teacher, significant other, your child, a roommate, neighbor, or family member, you’re sure to make someone feel loved!

Download and use them to let that special someone know how much you care about them.   You will find treat bag toppers that both boys and girls can give at their school party or a special event they plan to attend!   If you prefer sending someone a handmade gift or homemade treat, such as cookies or something you knitted,  be sure to use the “Made with Love” stickers to fancy up your gift!  Whatever the case may be, it is sure toput a smile on someone’s face!

VALENTINE’S DAY PRINTABLES

If you are someone who uses a Silhouette machine like me, you are in luck!  Download the free cut files below to make this a simple and easy task.  For all of you who may not have this marvelous machine….no worries. You can print right from your color printer or at a local office store!  It doesn’t take long to cut them out. Card stock is recommended for the bag toppers while full sheet adhesive is suggested for the “Made with Love” tags/stickers.To see each design, both front and back, scroll down to the end of this post!

GUMMY BEAR DESIGN
This one is especially nice to send someone who lives far away!  I have some family and friends who live out of town that I miss so much.  Nothing beats a virtual bear hug!  These candy bag toppers are accompanied with a matching “Made with Love” circular tag/sticker.  The tags can be put on little treat bags or serve as a seal on the back of an envelope.  If you want to forego candy, you can replace the gummy bears with any flavored Teddy Graham crackers.  They are in the shape of bears, too!
WHEEL DESIGN #1
I imagine little boys would enjoy receiving this as a valentine…because who doesn’t love race cars?  Matchbox cars are sold individually at Target for $1, so grab a few and stick them in a bag to go along with this adorable bag topper!  In fact, anyone in your life who likes cars will appreciate this!
STARBURST DESIGN
Whether it is a teacher, classmate, coach, or someone who loves Starburst, this bag topper is bright and cheerful….making anyone feel extra special on Valentine’s Day.  The template can be downloaded in a TEACHER or FRIEND version.  This design is also accompanied by a matching
“Made with Love” circular tag/sticker.
BUBBLE GUM DESIGN
Add some colorful gum balls, a pack of Big League Chew, or a handful of double bubble to this pack and you’re all set.  The ” I Chews You” candy bag topper is a cute way of expressing yourself on Valentine’s Day!
“YOU’RE THE BOMB” DESIGN
Some of you may not be the mushy, lovey-dovey type.  That is perfectly okay!  This design will suit you well.  How adorable are these little bomb suckers that you put inside the treat bag?  They are super easy to make.  Grab some Tootsie Roll pops or Blow Pops and wrap them in black tissue paper.  Use a twist tie (I found gold shiny ones at Michaels) to secure the tissue and at the bottom of the stick.  To make it look more like a bomb, I cut a portion of the stick down so it was shorter in length.  And….there you have it, a unique way of telling someone you think they’re great!
WHEEL DESIGN #2
This design is similar to the first, but it contains a different image and utilizes rollos and tootsie rolls instead!  For all of those chocolate lovers out there, this is sure to be a hit!

Below are the templates.  Each one shows the front and back.  The cool part is that there is a section to write the name of the giver and receiver!
